Lines A twelve song, five person musical song cycle investigating the many uses of the word Line: its different meanings, what it suggests, the power it has. While teaching his son how to fish, a young dad wonders which is most valuable: a fat juicy rainbow trout or just the time spent with his son. Elsewhere, a woman sits in her bathroom pondering the life she might not have as she waits for the results of a pregnancy test. Still elsewhere an Asian dancer is auditioning for a chorus line slot in an Orientalist and fundamentally racist musical and ponders if she's just suffering for her art or is some kind of cultural traitor... Each song is self-contained but inherently connected to the rest through the exploration of the lines we cross, the lines we draw, the lines we are descended from. Logo by One Act Design

With music and lyrics by Timothy Huang and book by Timothy Huang in collaboration with Elizabeth Lucas, this one act, one actor musical "...boasts masterful plot- and character-driven songs and comedic set pieces" with ballads that"have a haunting, melodic quality that seems torn from the annals of the Great American Songbook, populated by such folks as George Gershwin and Harold Arlen." - Ron Cohen, Backstage
